WESTSIDE OPEN WORKS

Open Works is looking to build a second location on the west side of Baltimore by 2030!

In order to introduce makerspaces to the surrounding community and get feedback, we ran a smaller satellite location from summer 2024 to winter 2025 in partnership with Coppin State University in their School of Business.

The new full sized site will serve West Baltimore with fabrication shops, studio space, classrooms, and a wider variety of traditional and digital tools.

Equipment and Machines

At the satellite location, we were able to offer low cost and free programming to the community using the following equipment:

2 Creality Ender 3pro 3D Printers
1 Juki industrial lockstitch machines
1 Juki serger
2 Juki walking-foot machines
1 Glowforge Pro laser
1 Cricut EasyPress 3
2 Cricut Cutters
