Celebrating Ms. Sharmane–Long Time Textile Instructor
Sharmane Herron, affectionately known around Open Works as “Ms. Sharmane,” has been with Open Works Baltimore since it opened in 2016. When she started, her niece was working at Open Works and introduced her as a knowledgeable seamstress and maker. She has experience with all the textile equipment, as well as the 3D printers and computer labs. As of the end of January 2025, she will officially be retiring.
Pratt Anywhere @ Open Works Baltimore
