Design Services
We can work with shop drawings, blueprints, or help you develop a prototype based on sketches. 2D and 3D modeling capabilities available for a wide variety of industrial design, engineering, and architectural applications.

CNC Routing
The core of our shop is a state-of-the-art Laguna SmartShop CNC router with a 6-tool changer. Cutting Area 48 x 96 x 4 inches.

We have 2 laser cutters.

The base job fee is $100 and labor is $105/hour with a 6-hour job minimum. Materials, design, and consultation time are additional.

Solar Charging Stations
Open Works has built 12 Solar stations that have been deployed around the city, expanding wifi and device charging access within Baltimore.
The Solar Stations were named Product of the Year for the 2024 Technical.ly Awards!

Baltimore Beat Boxes
In addition to housing a free local newspaper, the Beat Boxes feature a lift top storage section for people to leave and take community aid donations of personal hygiene products, non-perishable goods, and menstrual products.

Waverly Main Street Signs
You may not be able to tell from the street, but these CNC routed signs are actually 4 feet tall! Look for more to be installed along the Greenmount corridor through Spring of 2025.
Room and Board Stools
Room and Board’s Hollins and Hanneman Stools are produced by our contract services team using local reclaimed hardwood.
Stools are Available to purchase on the Room and Board website.
Walters Art Museum Benches
Open Works has produced a series of wooden benches for the Walters Art museum in 2 different styles.
The Walters is free, plan your visit to see their collection (and the benches) on their site.
Cornices for CL Mccoy framing
C.L. Mccoy framing is a Baltimore based general contracting company specializing in wood and metal framing. The contract services fabricated replica cornice pieces for a series of their historic row home restorations.
