Sept. 29, 7-8pm

We’re hosting the Charm City Porch Concerts series featuring trumpeter Brandon Woody live on our newly updated patio. Come out and hear some great LIVE MUSIC!!!

Oct. 2, 10am-4pm

Open Works is turning five and wants to celebrate by doing what we love, hanging out with our neighbors and supporting local makers!!! Come by our outdoor, pop-up maker market with over 20 local vendors, Snake Hill food truck, Black Acres Coffee, and Theodore Rexxx Dj-ing.

Oct. 7

Senior Foundations classes are back!!! We’re so excited that this popular series is back. The current session filled up fast, but if you’re interested we have more info about this series on our site.

Oct. 8

The application period for EnterpRISE 2021 ends on Oct 8. EnterpRISE is our annual business competition for Maryland residents that focuses solely on product based pitches. You can read more about in the EnterpRISE 2021 Schedule and FAQ. Don’t wait, APPLY TODAY!

Oct. 13th, 5:30-7PM

Talk featuring Jaz Erenerg and Christina Delgado, two fellows from the Neighborhood Design Center.  

Join Jaz Erenberg and Christina Delgado, two Neighborhood Design Center Build Together Designers in Residence, as they discuss their work in collaboration with Johnston Square neighborhood and Greater Greenmount Community Association, including recent efforts to beautify and enliven the E Biddle St. bridge. This gateway installation covers both the north and south sides of the bridge with a 200-foot mural design emulating Johnston Square’s new community identity branding, along with 14 vinyl photos on display.

5:30pm: Snacks and an opportunity to socialize on our beautiful patio.
6-7pm: Presentation and discussion with fellows

Teen Maker Program is back along with a new staff member to serve as facilitator Ana Maria Economou. Ana Maria is a ceramic artist and recent graduate of Towson University where she received a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts Infusion. She brings nearly a decade of experience in community arts education to the Open Works family. We couldn’t be more excited to have her at the helm of one of our favorite programs.

Oct. 30 11am

No Pix Afer Dark will be doing a live taping of their popular podcast here at Open Works featuring our new resident coffee roasters, Black Acres Roastery. More details to come.
