Open Works
Shops Are Open!
Hello!
We are ready for you! Sign up for a reservation and come on down for some shop time starting Tuesday, July 7th at 10 AM. Reservations are now active for all shops in MindBody or give us a call at 410-862-0424. Please note that we are closed tomorrow, July 4th, in observance of Independence Day.
While we are excited to welcome you back, we need your help to maintain a safe and orderly environment for everyone. Please keep in mind the following:
+ New hours are Tuesday-Saturday, 10 AM – 6 PM. We are operating on a day pass only model for now. Discounted bulk day pass packs ($10/ea.) available here.
+ Users MUST sign in at the front desk upon entering the building to check out a key and safety glasses.
+ We will be asking users to sign an updated Code of Conduct upon their return.
+ There are now 18 sanitation stations throughout the building. Please wipe down machines and touch points after use.
+ Stay home if you’re sick, wash your hands frequently, and wear a mask!
Yard Sale
As our first post-pandemic event, we are throwing a Community Yard Sale on Saturday, July 25th. We unearthed lots of surplus furniture, tools, and materials during our deep clean, and we are unloading them cheap. Do you have some odds and ends to to sell? Sign up to be a vendor here. We will be setting up in every other space on the parking lot and requiring masks for this outdoor-only event. Items will be live online next week as well for virtual browsing.
Virtual Community Orientation
Want to become a member? Need to (finally) get out of working from home? No worries! We are running virtual community orientations for folks interested in renting micro-studios starting next Wednesday, 7/8 at 11 AM. Get a video tour of the space, an explanation the membership contract with our staff, and a Q+A session at the end. Sign up in MindBody here — note, if you have not participated with us before, you will have to register with our membership software before proceeding to the orientation sign up.
Make along with us with our ‘Making In Place’ Craft Kits! We’ve designed 6 awesome DIY activities for the junior makers in your life to keep their little hands active over summer break. Each kit includes supplies for six projects to make along with video tutorials available on Youtube.
- Pocket Loom
- Face Mask
- T-shirt Tote
- Animal Mobile
- Sidewalk Stencils
- Recycled Crayons
Created for young folks, enjoyed by everyone. Purchase here, $30 ea. ($5/per activity). Need a kit but can’t swing the $30? We’ve got some generous sponsors who have paid for the materials upfront for families in need. Email education@openworksbmore.com to find out more.
Online sale for lobby pickup. Pickup on Wednesdays and Fridays, 10 AM-4 PM. Please note that orders will be filled on the following Wednesdays or Fridays after purchase or same day if ordered before 1.
SEE YOU ALL SOON!
