Our mission is to make tools, technology, and the knowledge to use them accessible to all. We connect you to manufacturing equipment, space, education, and Baltimore’s largest community of maker professionals. With programs for ages eight and up, we can help you make just about anything!

We offer a wide variety of classes for young people, adults, and seniors throughout the year. As COVID-19 impacted our ability to offer in-person instruction, we have adapted by adding virtual and hybrid options. In-person Shop Safety classes returning July 1!

Membership at Open Works gives you access to 34,000 S.F. of equipment, including 7 workshops and a computer lab. With loading dock access, free parking, and a central location, we make it easy for you to make! If you want to check it out for yourself, sign up for community orientation. You’ll get a great tour of the building and it’s the first step towards membership!
